TIME GONE BY...

I love current trends, don't get me wrong, but I love a bit of fashion history.

I long for a time when people would dress up, just because they were leaving the house.. Or because they weren't leaving the house, but just having people over.

As a teenager, I lived in jeans, my tomboy uniform of t-shirts and baseball boots, but I've always longed for the era of the 1950s when everything was tailored, and fitted, classy, and elegant. That's the word for it, elegant. The world of Grace Kelly, Ava Gardner, Marilyn Monroe and, my favourite, Audrey Hepburn. Sigh..
